The pic of Death in Bikini brought an interesting idea to my head.

I think we should talk more about our countries, know more about others and stuff, cause it's after all an international site, and I think things like this are really fascinating.
I have an idea that we would post in journal, let's say, three songs of our favorite, home-land bands, if you know what I mean.

We would know some new, for sure interesting bands and we would listen the beauty of other languages, so?

I would start with my polish bands, and well -
I don't listen much to polish rock music, but there are few things that I just LOVE.

1. First of all - "Biała Flaga" ( White Flag) by the band REPUBLIKA

It's an old recording, but it totally blows my mind.

you HAVE to listen to the great piano solo, at 2:43 ! ! ! ! !

It's a song generally about communism, nad the lyrics are like:

At the end they just keep on repeating " Where are they? They arent here"


Communism in Poland lasted for 45 years - People couldn't go abroad, every letter and private message was checked and censored, and f.e. in the day of John Lennon's death while western news were shouting all over the place about it, polish communistic laws let the media say only one, quiet note like " Look, USA it's a such horrible country, they killed such a nice man John Lennon ( a bit dumb guy 'cause he had long hair) but nice after all. Horrible place."

Total shit my parents had to live in.
